How to search for dapps from the in-app browser
From the Home screen, click on the globe đ icon in the top right corner to open the browser.
Use the Search bar to browse sites, or enter the name or URL of a particular app if you know it.
Once on an appâs site, look for a button to connect your wallet. This is usually located in the top right corner with the words âConnect walletâ or âLogin.â
Select WalletConnect from the list. You might have to click on âotherâ or âview all wallets.â
Select the Pass App icon to open your wallet. Review the details and click on Connect to connect your wallet to the app.
â ď¸ Be careful when connecting to apps! Some apps could be malicious, and connecting to them could give others access to your wallet. Pass App will soon launch Pass Protect, a real-time security scanner that alerts you of risky apps, tokens, and transactions. But you should always use your best judgement and make sure you only connect to reputable sites.

Connecting to a network for the first time
Your smart wallet creates a smart contract when it interacts with a network for the first time, this is known as âdeployingâ on the network. The first time you connect to a new network, like Base, Optimism, or Ethereum, your wallet will create a transaction to connect to that network.
If you connect to an app on a new network, your wallet will deploy a contract, which will incur a gas fee, even if youâre not making any financial transactions (like swapping or sending crypto).
For low-fee networks, like most L2s, this cost is usually just a few cents. For mainnet networks, like Ethereum, the cost can be quite high, especially during periods of high network congestion. Pass App sponsors up to 50% of your initial deployment fee on Ethereum, but we recommend checking gas and making your first transaction when prices are low.
đ§ You only pay the deployment fee once per network on the first instance you interact with it. If you donât use a particular network, you never pay fees to connect to it.
