Step 1: Enable Fallback Recovery
Fallback Recovery is our innovative feature that ensures you and only you can create a new passkey to access your wallet, even if you change your operating system or accidentally delete your original passkey.
Navigate to your Profile from the Home or Wallet screen and click on Security.
Click on Enable Fallback Recovery and enter your mobile phone number then click Continue.
Check your phone for the six-digit code. Enter the code and click Verify. If the code times out, you can resend a code after 30 seconds.
Confirm your phone number by authenticating with your passkey.
Add up to five phone numbers to your Fallback Recovery.
Step 2: Unlock the app with biometrics
If your device has biometric verification (like face recognition, fingerprint recognition, or keystroke recognition) capabilities, you can set it up as an additional security measure to unlock Pass App.
Navigate to your Profile from the Home or Wallet screen and click on Security.
Click on Unlock app with biometrics and toggle the switch to on.
Confirm the setting by authenticating with your passkey.
⚠️ For Android users: Make sure password sync is enabled
Most Android devices will automatically sync your passkeys to your Google Account through the Google Password Manager. But if you’ve turned off “Offer to save passwords”, your passkeys won’t sync, and that means you might lose access to your account if you delete the app or switch devices. To avoid that, double-check that this setting is enabled. See how to enable password sync on your Android device in this guide.
🛡️ You’re all set! Doesn’t it feel good knowing your wallet is protected?
